Objectives

The Board has established a State of Art Laboratory equipped with latest sophisticated instruments/equipments to carry out the micro and macro analysis of the pollutants. The laboratory of the Board is Accreditated by National Board of Accreditation for Calibration and testing laboratories. The laboratory of the Board is also participating in Analytical quality Control/Proficiency Testing (AQC) exercise conducted by Central Pollution Control Board and success rate over the years has been very good.

• The Head Office, Laboratory is situated at Vatavaran Bhawan, Nabha Road, Patiala. The laboratory has two sections i.e. Water and Air. 
•  The water laboratory has the facilities to analyze Surface Water, Ground Water, Trade effluent, and Soil samples for various parameters.
• Beside this, the Board has two Zonal Laboratories located at Ludhiana and Jalandhar to cater to the need of Zonal Offices viz Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar. These laboratories are also capable of handling the work of Air (Ambient and Source Monitoring) and Water (Surface water, Ground water, Trade effluent samples for various parameters)
